In alta ordine de idei, am attendat (asta e pe sistem 'zborul celor de la AB4 a fost cancelat') ieri concertul baietilor de la Editors... Front row lejer, ei au rupt, vocalu' e nitel scapat de la balamuc, am urlat, ma usturau mainile de la aplaudat. Dar dupa ce am iesit, ma simteam ca si cand nici nu fusesem la un concert. Nu tu stare de euforie, nu tu hyper mood, nimic. Parca a lipsit ceva. Sad, huh? Maybe I'm just getting old.

Remixu facut de Horrors pentru melodia Manics 'Doors Slowly Closing'... de fapt, mai degraba (cred... asta imi indica simtul de fan) remixul facut de Tom si Rhys aka Spider And The Flies...not a conventional little one at all...basic idea: take one element of the song and use it to create a completely different song... Adica, baietii nostrii au preluat un element din the background of the original instrumental si l-au bagat in loop si prin toate nebuniile analogice cu care se joaca ei cand o pun de-o electronica experimentala, au (cam) ignorat tobele grand de pe original, au dissed the vocals, the little sweet distort si hopa a iesit 'DSC Part II' as seen by two extremely creative biatchs.... intra! intra!
2. Coveru' Manics dupa o melodia not-yet-realease 'Vision Blurred'... reactia initiala a yrs fatihfully: sa imi bag pula, ce misto suna!!! ce voce are James!!! (mentionez pe aceasta cale ca nu stiu originalul..yes, i'm a bad Horrors fan) precis o fi ceva pa sistem Killing Joke in original... reactia dupa vreo ora de repeat (adica momentul in care ajungi sa mai descifrezi ceva din ce mormaie James...daca ai noroc...): FARIS E UN GENIU!!! ce versuri...sa imi bag pula, e genial!!!! Sure,varianta Manics suna ca a big hard-rocking sonicly-mindblowing song... that is a lost gem from THB. cum am zis mai devreme, probabil originalul e this Killing Joke based song... sau poate vreo nebunie cu versuri spoken a la Shangri Las (introul din cover ma face sa ma gandesc la cum ar suna Shangri Las as played by JDB, nu ma-ntrebati de ce... )
This is a masterpiece... Sublime indeed. And Primary Colours is beautiful. Everything NME said in that preview and more. It ain't the old Horrors. It's all the blablabla about evolving as a band... and it's so frickin' great. And when i think they're what? 22-23 years old... Heck, and they've done this... Pfooooa, forget 'i'm drepressed I'm 21 and have done nothing with mah life'... This is instant suicide for yrs truly in MPEG format... aw, pretty babies!!!

1. Literatura de specialitate scrisa de americani, pentru prosti si numa' buna ca pretext sa te dai cu capu de pereti dupa ce dai peste vreo 10 pagini numai cu exemple...ok, WE GOT IT!
2. Examenul la publicitate de pe 6...pe langa faptul ca o sa fie o mare tristete (cica o sa avem intrebari inteligente...da' io de asta am dat la UniBuc?), e chiar in dimineata ce urmeaza concertului Goldfrapp (eh, veti spune, si? oricum nu iti place ultimul album... in fine...)
3. Plec la Londra...nu asta in sine e o problema doar cand te gandesti la the money i shall spent there. Plec la Londra in perioada 4-10 august. Nici asta nu ar fi o problema...maybe the heat. Pe 8 august e Underage Fest (pentru pustii intre 14 si 18 ani...) . Ghici cine canta.... daaa....The Horrors... ei, asta e o problema. Pe scurt, I need a fake id saying I am ...let's say almost 18... That is a first, ladies and gents. Someone pretending they are younger in order to get in a gig venue. FAIL!
4. Nu gasesc pe nicaieri Dandi Wind... adica, albumele. ca am si eu acolo de un repeat. Dar vreau mai mult....Sunt sublim de haotici.
p.s.: credeti ca daca I hang around the fest venue and I wait untill The Horrros show up and I try to get their autographs...and, like, explain the situation....they'll feel pitty for me and like take me backstage with them?

A few days ago, I read on the Horrors official forum that Jamie from Klaxons said the new Horrors album sounds shoegaze... First (stupid) reaction: oh, we know Joshua REALLY loves his white winklepinkles, but really now... he's staring at them while playing? Second (stupid) reaction: oh, great, now I can sleep while listening to The Horrors... cause I sleep really well while listening to shoegaze... not that I find it boring, it's just that My Bloody Valentine and Jesus&Mary Chain seem to be really relaxing... I even have dreams...

Buuuun.. tot nu m-am prins cine le produce the sophomore album astora de la Horrors si ma roada... sincer, vreau si nu vreau James Ford (cum se zvonea).. I mean, brilliant producer... but let's look at the facts: i-a corupt si pe Arctic Monkeys cu nu-raveu' (those beats..)... nu vreau niste orori nurave...

We did dress up… (and picked Horrors names... Nancy Webb and Fagis Hotter... ) I think I quite nailed it … though, hell, I’m a girl and I do not have a pair of black skinny/tight jeans… I shall not comment his attire… as I said when I saw him “Well, I don’t wanna question yr decision, in my opinion, you’ve made an excellent choice” (yes, quotes were involved)…
I should mention that my boots had high heels and I can’t wear such things… so I ended up carrying them in one hand and walking barefoot…up and down a avenue and we acted all obnoxious and horrors-like, or at least I like to think so… (but then again, that’s what we do on an average day, no need for the day to be a Horrors one)… I was thinking about baking some cookies, buuuut… I’m a lazy-ass… so we just bought muffins and gave them horrors names…”oh, noez, you ate faris…how does he tastes?”/”you want a tomethy, a rhys or a joe?” “I’ll have a rhys” Then, we went to see the latest Harry Potter… at the mall (that’s the only place where they still showcase it…)… which was fun, cause we came up with stuff such as “Ginny is a parasite” and “Voldemort is the new thing”… and naturally “Potter!Rotter!”… (the movie itself was crap)… and that would be it… Oh, and this photo is intitled "fingers grasping at popcorn" "
